Helping homeowners find great local agents

When selling or letting a property, over 90% of consumers employ the services of estate or letting agents. But as in any service industry, standards can vary dramatically – so how do you know who the best local agents are?

While many would choose an agent based on recommendation, this is only possible if you have family, friends or colleagues who have previously sold or let a property in your area.

MeetMyAgent was therefore launched to help homeowners choose their agent using independent reviews written by previous sellers and landlords, transforming word-of-mouth recommendation into what we like to call “Word of Web”.

Transparency by choice

Review platforms are great when making a decision to buy a product or service. However, they often fail to compare similar products accurately because unhappy customers are more likely to leave feedback without being encouraged than satisfied customers.

If you consider two agents – one who actively encourages clients to review their services whilst the other doesn’t – this often portrays comparative service levels unfairly in favour of the agent that participates. You would likely not choose the ‘bad’ agent, even if it is an inaccurate representation.

This is why we built a platform based on transparency by choice, enabling agents to demonstrate their commitment to customer service and transparency through independent feedback without being unfair to those who choose not to participate.

Help your community!

Our platform is about peer information and so cannot work without you, the consumer. Review agents you have used and refer great local agents who aren’t registered to help other sellers and landlords in your area find the best estate and letting agents, and be entered in our voucher prize draws!*

MeetMyAgent aims to be the place where consumers can ‘meet’ the estate or letting agent they will choose to sell or let their property, not read about ones they won’t use (after all, it’s in our name).

It’s like telling a friend who is selling or letting their property: “You should meet MY agent!”
