  • How do I find estate agents in my area?

    You can search for estate agents by typing in your area name or the first part of your postcode in the search bar on our homepage. You will then be able to see a list of estate agents who have listed with us who serve your local area, ranked according to the ratings given to them by previous clients. You can then view their details, read customer reviews and request a valuation through our website. Once you have used the agent, please write a review and tell other homeowners about your experience with that estate agent.

  • How do star ratings work?

    Estate agents are rated in five categories: Professionalism, Friendliness, Local Knowledge, Service Delivery and Overall Experience. We use these ratings to generate an overall rating for the estate agent and then rank the agents depending on the quality and quantity of their reviews.

    Reviews left more than six months ago are no longer taken into account when calculating an estate agent’s star rating (although you will still be able to read them on our website), so you can be sure that the star rating is a reflection of current performance.

  • Do I need to register?

    You do not need to register to browse our website, view an estate agent’s listing or request a valuation. However, only registered users can write reviews, save estate agents in their shortlist and view their requested valuations. Registering with us also saves your preferences so that you can navigate the site more easily on your next visit.

  • How do I register?

    You can register on our website by clicking ‘Sign in/Register’ at the top of any page on our website. You will be directed to the login page, where you should click register and fill in the required fields. You will be sent an activation link to the email address you registered with and you must click that to verify yourself as a user. Please check your junk mail folder or add [email protected] to your safe recipients list if the activation link doesn’t arrive in your inbox within 10 minutes of registering.

  • I have used an estate agent, how do I leave a review?

    You can leave a review for an estate agent you have used by clicking the ‘Write a Review’ tab and then searching for your estate agent by name. Once you have selected the right estate agent, fill out the review form and then click submit. If you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to do so now. If you have not yet registered as a user on our website, you can also do so at this stage.

    Once you have signed in your review will be submitted to our system. If you have not clicked the activation link sent to you on registration, you should do so now as we will be unable to publish reviews from unverified users. Your review may take up to 48 hours to publish, and we will email you when it has.

    Please note that we have strict guidelines regarding the permitted content of any reviews that we publish and you should read our Review Guidelines before submitting your review as we do not publish any reviews that do not meet these criteria.

  • Where is my review?

    You can view any reviews written by you by signing into to your account and clicking the ‘My Reviews’ tab. Users should allow up to 48 hours for their reviews to be posted and we will email you to let you know when it has. All reviews are subject to verification before being published on our website and must meet our Review Guidelines. Please note that any reviews which do not meet our Review Guidelines will not be posted and you will be informed of this via email.

  • Why isn’t my estate agent listed?

    We don’t simply list every agent in the area – each agent listing on the site does so voluntarily, which shows their commitment to delivering the best customer service to their clients. The aim of the site is attract the best agents in your local area and as such there will be a process of self-elimination by agents that may not be as confident in their services as others. This gives you, the consumer, the confidence that you are choosing an estate agent that is committed to maintaining and building upon excellent service and who truly values customer feedback.

    If for some reason your agent isn’t aware of MeetMyAgent, refer them to us by leaving a review and providing us with their contact details via the Write a Review tab. If they list for a minimum of three months, you will be sent a £10 John Lewis voucher for your referral (see Write a Review tab for full details and terms).

  • Why can’t I find estate agents in my area?

    All our agents list voluntarily and, as a brand new website, this unfortunately means that we may not have coverage in some areas. While we may not currently serve your area we will be expanding into other parts of London and the UK over the coming months.

    If you have already used an estate agent in your local area, refer them to us by leaving a review and providing us with their contact details via our Write a Review tab. If they list for a minimum of three months, you will be sent a £10 John Lewis voucher for your referral (see Write a Review tab for full details and terms).

  • How do I change or reset my password?

    You can change your password from your account once you have signed in by clicking ‘Manage My Profile’. You will see a ‘Change Password’ section and by entering your old and new password and clicking ‘Change Password’, your password will have been changed to your chosen password.

    If you have forgotten your password, you should go to the login page and enter your registered email into the ‘Forgotten Your Password’ field. We will then send you a temporary password to your email which will allow you to login and change your password as above. Please check your junk mail folder or add [email protected] to your safe recipients list if the reset password email doesn’t arrive in your inbox within 10 minutes.

  • How do I change my username?

    Once you have signed in, you should click ‘Manage My Profile’ in your user account. You will then be able to change your username by filling in the required field and clicking on ‘Update’.

  • Is my personal information safe on your website?

    We value your privacy and security and we will never send you spam or sell your information to third parties. Other MeetMyAgent users will only see your username, unless you choose to display your name on reviews or include additional information in your review. Any information about you is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Click here to view our Privacy Policy.

  • How do I close my account?

    If you no longer wish to use our website and wish to close your account you do so in the following way. One you have signed in, you should click ‘Manage My Profile’ in your user account. By clicking ‘Deactivate Account’ you will be taken through the account deactivation process and your account will be closed. Once closed, you will not be able to sign in or use the sections of our website that require registration, but you can open a new account at any time.
